Fans of the Samsung Galaxy line-up of smartphones have some exciting news headed their way. U.S. network operator AT&T is gearing up to offer the budget-friendly Galaxy Express Prime, Galaxy Express 3 and Galaxy J3 smartphones for customers of its GoPhone.

On Friday, the carrier revealed that it would be retailing the three handsets for GoPhone customers both online and through AT&T's brick and mortar stores.

While the Galaxy Express Prime will go on sale from April 1, GoPhone customers eyeing the Galaxy J3 and Galaxy Express 3 will have to wait another month as they will go on sale from May 6.

"AT&T is continuing to expand its industry leading selection of Samsung devices with a trio of new smartphones. Starting today, you will be able to purchase the Samsung Galaxy Express Prime GoPhone at www.att.com and AT&T stores. Samsung Galaxy J3 and Galaxy Express 3 will be available in the same channels starting May 6," notes the carrier.

The Galaxy Express 3 and the Galaxy Express Prime are exclusive to AT&T GoPhone.

The entry-level Samsung smartphones are bound to strike a chord with GoPhone customers who are on a budget, but are keen on a robust handset. We take a look at the features and specs of the trio.

Samsung Galaxy Express Prime

The Galaxy Express Prime sports a 5-inch Super AMOLED 720p display. It houses an Exynos 3475 processor and 1.5 GB of RAM. Fueling the smartphone is a 2,600mAh battery. The handset also touts a 5MP primary camera and a 2MP selfie snapper. The Galaxy Express Prime will come with 16 GB of storage and Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.

This handset is the most expensive of the three and costs $129.99. It is available in dark gray. You can order it online now.

Galaxy Express 3 has a 2,050mAh battery and a 4.5-inch Super AMOLED display, aside from a 5MP rear camera. This smartphone will be available May 6 in white for $79.99.

Samsung Galaxy Express 3

Smaller than the Galaxy Express Prime, the Galaxy Express 3 has a smaller 4.5-inch Super AMOLED display. The smartphone is fueled by a 2,050mAh battery which offers support for 12 hours of talk time. It also packs in a 5MP primary camera. The smartphone is priced at $79.99 and will retail in white from GoPhone from May 6.

Samsung Galaxy J3

Sporting a 5-inch Super AMOLED 720p screen, this handset houses a Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz and 1.5 GB of RAM. It also boasts 16 GB of storage and expandable memory. A 2,600mAh battery powers the Galaxy J3 which will be available in white for GoPhone customers from May 6.

The Galaxy J3 starts at $5.67 per month (for 30 months) as part of the Next24 Plan.
