The "Wasteland Workshop" DLC in Fallout 4 is right around the corner, and now, a new trailer highlights all the additional crafting options that players will soon have at their disposal.

Whereas Fallout 4's first DLC, "Automatron," added a new quest line and the ability for players to craft their own robots, Wasteland Workshop puts an emphasis on player homesteads. Players will now be able to craft homes outside of designated settlement areas, opening up a whole new world of possibilities when it comes to crafting a Wasteland utopia.

Garden plots will give players new areas to create farms, and what better way to protect those crops than with a deadly new assortment of traps? The trailer features spinning blades and spiked floors. No doubt, fans will be creating some elaborate death mazes with this DLC.

If raiders do manage to breach your defenses, you can always have them meet some of your new animal friends. As Bethesda had previously discussed, Wasteland Workshop will allow players to capture and tame the various creatures roaming the Commonwealth for the first time. Whether you keep them as pets, fight them in gladiator matches or use them as guard dogs, the decision is up to you. The trailer shows everybody's least favorite companion, Preston Garvey, duking it out with a Deathclaw in an arena as crowds cheer him on. Unfortunately, Garvey survives.

Other major new features coming in the DLC include nixie tube lighting, letter kits, taxidermy and more. You can see all of that and more in the trailer below.

Considering all the impressive creations players have crafted in Fallout 4 so far, we can't wait to see what players cook up next with all the new tools at their disposal. Perhaps a recreation of the signature location from Fallout: New Vegas? With all the new lettering and neon light options, it's certainly possible. Combine all the new tools with the game's already-extensive mod options, and players should be able to build to their heart's content.

Fallout 4's Wasteland Workshop DLC arrives on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Steam on April 12. Players can snag the game's first DLC, Automatron, now, for $9.99 or as part of the game's $50 season pass.
