Bethesda's well-renowned, critically acclaimed action role-playing title Fallout 4 has won the Best Game award during the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Games Awards 2016.

The awarding ceremony was centered on recognizing and highlighting the best games of the previous year in a wide array of categories, namely Artistic Achievement, Audio Achievement, British Game, Debut Game, Family, Game Design, Game Innovation, Mobile And Handheld, Multiplayer, Music, Original Property, Performer, Persistent Game, Sports, Story, BAFTA Ones To Watch Award In Association With Dare To Be Digital, AMD eSports Audience Award and Best Game.

For the Best Game category, Fallout 4 outshone Everybody's Gone To The Rapture, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, Life Is Strange, Rocket League and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

This latest title in the Fallout series was initially rolled out in November last year, packing in incredible audio, visual and gameplay.

While Fallout 4 was announced the winner of the major award, three titles managed to beat blockbusters in a multitude of awards - Rocket League, Everybody's Gone To The Rapture and Her Story.

Without further ado, here is the complete list of BAFTA Games Awards winners this year.

For the AMD eSports Audience Award, Smite of Hi-rez Studios was deemed the winner.
