The first major update for The Division is not only going to come with big changes to crafting and the loot system but also new gear sets, namely Striker's Battlegear, Path of the Nomad, Tactician's Authority and Sentry's Call.

Equipping four pieces of one set will give players a special Talent, but two or three parts will already give a bonus or two.

"We are introducing three high-end weapons and four top-of-the-line gear sets that fit different gameplay styles: Tactician's Authority for a support role; Striker's Battlegear for a damage dealer; Sentry's Call for snipers; and Path of the Nomad for explorers and solo players," Petter Mannerfelt, game director of The Division, says.

Here's a quick rundown of the bonuses:

Striker's Battlegear

Two Pieces: Additional 20 percent Enemy Armor Damage.

Three Pieces: Additional 100 percent Critical Hit Damage.

Four Pieces: Shooter Talent: Every consecutive hit deals 1 percent more damage. Stacks up to 100 percent. Missing shots drops bonus by 2 percent. Bonus is reduced by 1 percent every second.

Path Of The Nomad

Two Pieces: Additional 50 percent Scavenging.

Three Pieces: Additional 20 percent Health on Kill.

Four Pieces: Nomad Talent: When receiving fatal damage, you are instead healed to full health. Can occur once every 10 minutes.

Tactician's Authority

Two Pieces: Additional 4,000 Skill Power.

Three Pieces: Additional 20 percent Skill Haste.

Four Pieces: Tactician's Authority Talent: Every 60,000 damage your group deals adds 1 percent skill power to you for a max of 100 percent bonus. Bonus is reduced by 1 percent every second the group isn't dealing damage.

Sentry's Call

Two Pieces: Additional 30 percent Headshot Damage.

Three Pieces: Additional 20 percent Damage to Elites.

Four Pieces: Striker Talent: Headshots mark the enemy, increasing the damage inflicted on the target by 15 percent for a duration of 10 seconds each. A target can receive up to three marks.

Path of the Nomad can only be acquired in the Dark Zone, but the rest can be found in the new Incursion Falcon Lost or gotten through other methods.

On a related note, Mannerfelt makes it clear that Incursions bear some similarities in terms of difficulty with Raids but aren't exactly like them.

"Raids are composed of multiple groups, so Incursions are not a raid in the MMO sense. Their difficulty, however, is comparable. Playing Falcon Lost in Challenge Mode will be extremely difficult, and will only be in reach of the best agents, using the right strategy and perfect coordination," he says.

To boil things down, update 1.1 for The Division will come with the Falcon Lost and gear sets with special bonuses, among others.
