Back in May, director Zack Snyder tweeted the first official photo of the new Batmobile. It was just a glimpse, but it was enough to keep most fans occupied. Now the vehicle is being used by actor Ben Affleck on the set of "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice," Warner Brothers' precursor to the planned "Justice League" team-up flick.

The first image was a black and white still shot by Snyder himself with a Leica camera, but now we finally have a look at the whole thing.

A pair of Instagram users spotted the Batmobile parked on a Detroit street — where the movie is being shot — and did what any good fan would do: they took pictures and posted them online. They're not the greatest quality pictures, but they show the whole car for the first time.

As you can see in the pics below, Batman's new car emphasizes sharp angles and big tires. It looks a bit as though they took the Tumbler (from The Dark Knight Trilogy) and meshed it with the various looks from Batman's comic book history, while throwing in a dash of the Warthog from "Halo."

Also note how the cockpit opens not only by flipping up but also by splitting straight down the middle. It's hard to imagine what tactical advantage the split would offer Batman, so this is probably an aesthetic choice.
