Just a few weeks ago, the SpaceX Falcon 9 successfully landed on a floating platform off the coast of Florida, and those who want a closer look are in luck, as 360-degree footage of the huge event are up online.

What this entails is that viewers get front-row seats of the landing without the nasty consequence of getting burned to a crisp, which is a good thing, to be honest.

The great thing about the video is that it's viewable on every platform — on the PC, on the smartphone, on the tablet and even on a virtual reality headset. On top of that, it's available on both Facebook and YouTube to boot. That just goes to show that SpaceX wants practically every person to get a good look of Falcon 9 touching down on a sea barge from every perspective.

As expected, a ton of users already watched the whole footage in virtual reality, with the Google Cardboard or the Samsung Gear VR. Needless to say, the majority of the viewers enjoyed the experience.

Moving forward, SpaceX is targeting to repeat the feat on May 3, and other than the affair itself, what's interesting to see is whether or not there will be another 360-degree clip to look forward to.

It's also worth mentioning that the spaceflight company intends to land a spacecraft on Mars as early as 2018 too, and a virtual reality video of that experience is definitely going to be priceless. Well, that's assuming that it can get everything it needs nice and ready by then.
