Garmin International Inc., which has become widely known for its line of fitness trackers, announced the Vívomove on May 4. The new activity-tracking device is geared toward attracting individuals who strive for a more fashionable wearable.

"The style-focused Vívomove is an exciting addition to Garmin's wide-ranging line of activity trackers, making it easier than ever to stay fashionable and active," said Dan Bartel, Garmin vice president of worldwide sales. "Whether you're heading into the boardroom or walking into a ballpark, Vívomove has you and your steps covered."

Vívomove comes with a one-year battery life and a water rating of 5ATM, meaning it can handle depths up to 50 meters (164 feet). Most importantly, wearers can select from a wide array of interchangeable bands. The goal is to make the tracker wearable during any event, whether it be a swanky dinner or child's birthday party. Bands range in color and material, including stainless steel and leather.

To complement the bands, the Vívomove has an analog face that comes in various models, ranging from "sport" to "classic." The face itself has two bars that allow users to view their step progress and inactivity easily on the go. A red bar on the right side of the watch face lets users know when they haven't been mobile in an extended period of time. The Vívomove can also be used to monitor sleep through the measurement of movement during the night.

Lovers of Garmin's Connect Mobile app will be happy to learn that the device automatically syncs to it during the day. The mobile app also provides goal-setting features and a connection to the Garmin mobile community, where other device users discuss their activities.

The Vívomove Sport (in black or white) will be sold for $149.99, while the Vívomove Classic (with a black or rose gold-toned leather band) will be set at $199.99. Those who want the premium version composed of stainless steel or gold-toned steel with a leather band can purchase a Vívomove for $299.99.

Sport bands for the Vívomove will start at $29.99. Leather bands, available in colors including black and light brown, will begin at $59.99. It may also be worth noting that the Vívomove is compatible with other 20 mm bands on the market.
