Uncharted 4: A Thief's End is finally here! Players can finally enjoy Nathan Drake's final adventure, as he searches for the legendary pirate treasure of Captain Avery, all while dodging bullets and keeping his long-lost brother Sam alive!

After you wait for the first pair of updates to download, that is.

As annoying as they can be, Day One patches are an inherent part of gaming these days - and, at the very least, the first pair of Uncharted 4 updates are actually important. Everyone who has pre-loaded or purchased the game digitally should have automatically received the updates already, but anyone who bought the retail copy of the game will definitely want to download the updates before playing.

The 1.01 patch, which clocks in at a whopping 5 GB, is easily the more important of the two: not only does it include a number of different bonus features (such as unlockable weapons and Photo Mode), it also contains the entirety of Uncharted 4's multiplayer modes.

The full list of included features is as follows:

• Multiplayer support
• Single player Encounter Select
• Bonus Feature: Photo Mode
• Bonus Feature: Character Model Viewer
• Bonus Feature: Render Modes
• Bonus Feature: Gameplay Modes
• Bonus Feature: Single-player Modes
• Bonus Feature: Weapon Selector
• Bonus Feature: Journal Viewer
• Bonus Feature: Concept Art Galleries
• General Fixes and Improvements

Thankfully, the 1.02 update is tiny compared to the other update: at just 140 MB, it shouldn't take more than a few minutes to download. That's probably because patch 1.02 only consists of bug fixes and "general improvements," which essentially means that it's being used to squash a few glitches. Naughty Dog isn't being too specific about what's included, either, which likely means that whatever errors the patch is fixing aren't a major issue.

Hopefully, this is the last time gamers will have to put up with such massive updates: while it's almost inevitable that multiplayer patches will make their way online at some point, they shouldn't be nearly as big as Uncharted 4's Day One patch. The game's multiplayer DLC may take up more space, but even so, we'd be surprised to see another 5 GB update any time soon.
