The Apple iPhone 6 and Apple iPhone 6 Plus were unveiled on Sept. 9, 2015 and were released publicly a couple of weeks later, on Sept. 25, 2015. Both devices flaunt bigger screens, longer battery life and faster internal processors, which puts them on top of Apple fans' list of favorite smartphones.

In 2015, phablets were in demand in the U.S., which contributed to the soar of iPhone 6 Plus sale. The success of iPhone 6 and 6 Plus has helped Apple reach an astonishing 74.5 million sales, in the first quarter of 2015 alone, a huge 41 percent increase year-over-year on iPhone units sold.
