All four major U.S. carriers have announced launch plans for Samsung's Galaxy Note 4 phablet, and preorders are set to begin. The Note 4 will be released in October.

When it comes to making a smartphone converged with a small tablet, Samsung not only has years of experience under its belt, it also has a proven track record with over 60 million of its wildly popular Galaxy Note phablets sold. The company unveiled two new Galaxy Note handsets at IFA in September; the Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge, but didn't provide any specifics about when U.S. carriers would begin offering its latest phablets.

U.S. Samsung Galaxy Note fans will be pleased to learn that Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile have all announced their Galaxy Note 4 launch plans and release dates. There's still no word on when the Galaxy Note Edge will hit store shelves.

Verizon said that it will begin taking preorders for the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 at 3 a.m. EDT on Sept. 19 and has priced the 32-GB phablet at $299.99 when signing a new 2-year contract. The carrier will also offer the Samsung S-View Flip Cover, which features a see-through window on the case that allows users to check messages, battery life, and accept incoming calls without ever having to open the cover. The Samsung S-View Flip Cover will be available for $49.99. Verizon will release the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 on Oct. 17.

AT&T just confirmed that it would begin taking preorders for the 32 GB Samsung Galaxy Note 4 in choice of Charcoal Black and Frost White on Sept. 19 and has priced the phablet at $299.99 when signing a new 2-year contract. The carrier says that preorders will ship to customers on Oct. 17.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 features an ultrasharp 5.7-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440, a pixel density of 515 pixels per inch (ppi) and Android 4.4.4 KitKat. The phablet is powered by a 2.7 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, Adreno 420 GPU (graphics processing unit), and 3 GB of RAM. The Note 4 is packing 32 GB of internal storage and a microSD expansion slot that will support up to 128-GB microSD cards.

Samsung has packed in a high-end 16-megapixel rear camera with OIS (optical image stabilization) and a 3.7-megapixel front-facing camera for video chat and selfies. The phablet also includes a fingerprint scanner embedded in its home button to unlock the device and authorize PayPal purchases, a large removable 3,200 mAh battery, and enhanced S Pen features.
