Samsung is preparing for the release of its Galaxy C series models, the Galaxy C5 and Galaxy C7, in China at the end of the month.

The event will take place on May 26, and rumors permeated the media that the company might pack additional unveils along with its latest line of mid-tier phones.

The Galaxy C5 met the requirements for TENAA's certification some days ago, and full range of specs and images were revealed. In more recent news, the United States authority for cellular devices green-lighted the Galaxy C5 carrying the model number SM-C5000. This means that fans of the C5 could see it in U.S. stores sooner than expected.

The Samsung Galaxy C7 (SM-C7000) did not pass the par yet with either TENAA or the FCC, but we expect it will happen until the May 26 launch.

The filed report from the FCC confirms that Galaxy C5's juice will rely on a 2,600 mAh battery.

With TENAA's certifications, future customers of the device saw the full list of specs. They showed that the C5 will present its visuals via a 5.2-inch AMOLED screen able to display FHD resolutions of 1,080 x 1,920p.

Mobile photographers will be happy to know that the camera combo is strong within the device. A 16-megapixel rear camera is paired with an 8-megapixel selfie-snapper that works great for video chats, as well.

The processing power of the phone relies on an eight-core Snapdragon 617 MSM8952 chipset that is clocked at 1.5 GHz and gets backed by a sturdy 4 GB of RAM. The graphics processing unit is an Adreno 405, running at 1.2 GHz.

Two models of Galaxy C5 will be in store. The first will sport 32 GB of default storage memory, while the second will be a tad more expensive and will come with 64 GB of standard space. Thanks to a microSD storage card, the handsets can load as much as 128 GB of storage.

Software-wise, both Samsung Galaxy C5 units holster Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS.

The phone comes with multiple connectivity options, such as 4G LTE, 3G, 2G, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and USB. It has the general dimensions of 145.9 × 72 × 6.7 millimeters (5.74 x 2.83 x 0.26 inches). It weighs only 153 grams (5.39 ounces) and will be available in several color options, including Gold.

The Galaxy C5 will start at a price point of 1,599 Yuan in China ($245), rumors say.
