Most fans are expecting Apple to roll out the MacBook Pro 2016 model by next month, if the company's launch cycle would be followed.

Rumors claim that the laptop will be announced at Apple's upcoming Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), as the unveiling of the MacBook Pro was bumped later this year as the company decided to launch the iPhone SE and the 9.7-inch iPad Pro at its March event.

The newswire has seen its fair share of MacBook Pro information, and the latest one comes from well-connected KGI Securities Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.

According to Kuo, the MacBook line will be the brightest spot among the new products to be rolled out this year by Apple. The claim is especially true for the two upcoming models of the new MacBook Pro, which will be released to the market in the fourth quarter with 13-inch and 15-inch options for customers.

Kuo claims that the new models of the MacBook Pro will have thinner and lighter form factors compared with their predecessors and will feature Touch ID technology. The laptops will also be adopting USB-C and Thunderbolt 3 connectivity.

In addition, the new MacBook Pro models will be replacing the physical function keys found at the top of the keyboard with an OLED display touch bar.

According to Kuo, the changes that the MacBook Pro will receive represent the most significant upgrade that Apple has ever undertaken. The thinner and lighter design for the new laptops utilizes hinges made by metal injection molds, along with the butterfly-mechanism keyboards that were introduced in the 12-inch MacBook.

Kuo thinks that Apple will be moving forward with all three of its MacBook lines within the year. The MacBook Pro will occupy the high-end slot, the MacBook will replace the MacBook Air as the medium-end model and the MacBook Air will be bumped down into the entry-level category with a lower price compared to the other lines.
