The Samsung Galaxy Note 6 is getting closer to its rumored summer release. An edge variant of the smartphone was spotted on Zauba with a model number of SM-935G.

Now that Samsung has released its latest flagship smartphones, the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge, the company is preparing to launch its follow up to last year's Galaxy Note 5.

The upcoming Galaxy Note 6 made headlines back in February when it was reported that the phablet would feature a 5.8-inch Slim RGB display, a whopping 6 GB of RAM, and a 12-megapixel rear camera with "Super OIS Plus."

Rumors intensified in April when reports claimed the Note 6 would follow in the footsteps of the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge by including a waterproof case. Soon, a report leaked showing the phablet carrying a codename of "Grace" along with an official model number of SM-N930 and evidence confirming it would make its way to Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile.

Samsung was said to be testing two Galaxy Note 6 variants, one with a flat display and another with a dual-curved display, with only one of them destined for an actual release.

It now appears that unlike last year's Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 edge+ launch, Samsung will follow the same playbook it used when it launched the Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge in 2014.

A listing for what is believed to be the Galaxy Note 6 edge has been discovered on Zauba, an import/export site known to provide details of unannounced mobile devices. The smartphone's model number SM-N935G follows the same naming convention of the Galaxy Note 6 (SM-N930).

While it's too early to confirm the SM-N935G is the edge variant of the Galaxy Note 6, it seems unlikely that Samsung is planning to release a follow up to last year's Galaxy S6 edge+, since the Galaxy S7 edge fills that gap with its 5.5-inch display.

As always, we'll keep you posted on any new Samsung Galaxy Note 6 news as it becomes available.
