LG has been busy with its new flagship smartphone, the LG G5, with the device's Friends accessories recently launched for sale in the United States.

The LG G5 is not the only thing that the company is focused on, however, as LG has now also unveiled the LG Stylus 2 Plus.

The LG Stylus 2 Plus is the latest installment in the company's Stylus series, which is known for its large displays. The new device features the same design as its predecessor, the LG Stylus 2 or also known as the LG Stylo 2, as the improvements that LG implemented on the smartphone were made on its specifications and performance.

Compared with the 720p display of the LG Stylus 2, the LG Stylus 2 Plus has a 1080p display, while still retaining the 5.7-inch size. The octa-core processor of the smartphone was also improved from 1.2 GHz to 1.4 GHz, and the RAM also increased from 1.5 GB to 2 GB or 3 GB, depending on the market. The LG Stylus 2 Plus will also be featuring a fingerprint scanner at its back, which is not found in the LG Stylus 2.

In some markets, the smartphone's camera will be the same at 13 MP. However, in other markets, the camera will be bumped up to a 16 MP one. The battery of the smartphone is retained at 3,000 mAh, with the operating system out of the box being Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

Needless to say, the smartphone will also come with a stylus, specifically a nano-coated one that is able to provide the tactile feedback similar to when a user writes with a fountain pen.

"It's just another example of the constant refinements we're making to our mobile products to give LG customers a wide variety of features and designs to choose from," said LG President Juno Cho, in reference to the LG Stylus 2 Plus.

The LG Stylus 2 Plus has now been launched in Taiwan, with the smartphone to be rolled out to customers in North America, South America, Europe and Asia within the coming weeks.
