Huawei's Honor brand is an increasingly popular choice for smartphone fans who want bang for the buck and decent specs in one go.

The latest addition to Honor's handset family is the Honor 5C, a metal chassis phone packing an eight-core processor, a 5.2-inch Full HD screen, a main sensor of 13 megapixels and security features in the form of a fingerprint scanner. What is worth mentioning is that all these goodies only cost $140.

NeoWin got word from Honor that another product will roll out in two weeks.

According to the company, a "virtual launch event" will take place on June 20 when fans will witness the showcasing of an "exciting new product."

Note that the mysterious tagline, "Be who you are, not who the world wants you to be," does not spill the beans about the upcoming product. However, it falls in line with Honor's branding strategy and slogan "For the Brave."

The company touts that the soon-to-be-launched item will pack attributes such as robustness, affordability and quickness, without compromising any of them.

As a reminder, those who order the Honor 5X or the Honor 7 smartphone are subject to a 60-day money-back guarantee offer, which also comes with free pick-up service and free delivery in a number of markets.

Information about the Honor 8 recently permeated the media, so there is a pretty solid chance that the new smartphone is the touted release of June 20. Thanks to GizmoChina, we saw a leaked image of the Honor 8 phablet just recently.

Insiders familiar with the matter note that Huawei Honor 8 could stand out because of the use of glass, which covers both faces of the smartphone. Speculations are roaming free that aside from the display, the rear panel of Honor 8 will sport 2.5D curved glass, and it will come with a metal frame to boot.

This design choice could give Honor 8 an edge against competitors in the mid-tier consumer market.

Rumors say that Honor 8 will take a leaf out of its predecessor's book and will holster a 5.2-inch display. Taking inspiration from the Honor V8, the purported model could rely on a dual-system 12-megapixel camera.

For processing power, the Honor 8 is expected to use a Kirin 950 or Kirin 955 CPU, backed by 4 GB of RAM. A 3,000 mAh battery should keep the juices running in the device. If certain information is true, the device could benefit from the presence of an USB Type-C port.

We will let you know as soon as we have other info about Huawei's plans.
