Soon, players of Overwatch — and other Blizzard games — will have a new option to share their gameplay with friends: streaming to Facebook and Facebook login.

Blizzard announced that it's adding the Facebook functionality to many of the PC versions of its games, including Overwatch, Hearthstone, World of Warcraft, Heroes of the Storm, Diablo 3 and StarCraft 2.

That also means that logging in to Blizzard games will get easier for PC players who also use Facebook: players will soon have the ability to log in to their favorite Blizzard games by using their Facebook information.

"Blizzard games are best when played with friends, so it's important to us to provide our players with features and services that make it easy and fun to share their experiences with each other," Blizzard executive vice president of corporate operations Gio Hunt said in a press release. "We're working closely with Facebook on this integration for Overwatch, as well as our other games, and we look forward to sharing further details on our plans as development progresses.

Blizzard demonstrated the Facebook live-streaming recently on the social media site by streaming gameplay of Heroes of the Dorm, the college tournament version of Heroes of the Storm. The company also live-streamed its launch for Overwatch on the site.

Meanwhile, Blizzard plans on considering allowing Overwatch players on multiple platforms the ability to play together. When a fan asked the company on Twitter about the possibility of crossplay, here was Blizzard's answer:

That's obviously not confirmation that Overwatch crossplay will happen, but it does seem it's something that the company will put some thought into. It's unlikely, though, that PC players will get to play with those on consoles, and if crossplay happens, it will probably only occur between Xbox One and PlayStation 4 gamers.
