Although iOS 10 is still far from being rolled out to the public, it appears that a jailbreak for Apple's next mobile operating system has already been achieved. However, this said exploit is still unlikely to be made public.

At the moment, the iOS 10 is still in its beta stage — in fact, the early beta version of the OS is only pushed out for developer accounts. However, someone from the jailbreaking community who goes by the name iH8sn0w has already succeeded in jailbreaking an iPhone that runs the iOS 10 beta.

A YouTube video on the hack shows iH8sn0w has effectively jailbroken an iPhone 5 running Cydia on iOS 10 beta, and it appears that iH8sn0w has not experienced any crashing (yet).

The hacker shared the news via a Twitter post he pushed out on June 14, saying:

Well, Cydia doesn’t crash on iOS 10. Hooray- no hacky fixes needed (for now?).

iOS 9 Jailbreak For iDevices

In October, Tech Times reported that the Pangu team pushed out the iOS 9 jailbreak for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. The tool the team released is compatible with iOS 9.0 through 9.0.2, and was initially rolled out to Windows users.

A few days after they initially released the iOS 9 jailbreak, the Pangu team provided an update that brought with it a slew of bug fixes. The Pangu 9 1.0.1 version was targeted at those who faced problems in jailbreaking their devices on iOS 9.0 to 9.0.2.

The fixes that the team threw into the updated version of the tool range from improving the success rate, ensuring the removal of the Pangu application, fixing a bug that resulted in a 0A error coder and more.

Team Pangu consists of senior security researchers who focus their attention on mobile security research.

9.3.2 Jailbreak

In late May, we delved on a report that iOS 9.3.2 has already been jailbroken. However, iDevice owners should not get their hopes up as the developer behind the exploit, Luca Todesco (who goes by the name qwertyoruiop on Twitter), has maintained that he will not release the exploits.

For the uninitiated, Todesco is the same hacker who previously showed off the iOS 9.3.3 beta jailbreak and teased some other exploits.

What the recently published video signifies is that in spite of a lot of individuals saying that Apple’s mobile operating system is already impossible to jailbreak, this video just proved that it isn’t the case (for now). Again, don't expect too much as there is a big chance Apple will release updates to the iOS 10 beta version that can patch a number of exploits before the final build comes out of beta stage.
