American Horror Story: Freak Show is nearly here. We've already seen the trailer and learned details about the cast of freakish characters set to appear, and now FX has debuted the opening title sequence for what is sure to be the most bizarre season of American Horror Story yet.

Words don't even come close to describing what the heck is being shown in these titles, and believe me, there is a lot. Just go ahead and give it a watch.

FX teases the video may hold some hints, saying in the video description "Are there hints lurking in Freak Show's mesmerizing main title sequence? We'll let you decide..."

Hints, huh? Does it have anything to do with that centaur skeleton riding a bicycle? What are those two conjoined twins doing? Why does that person have a leg sprouting from their crotch? What is up with those very disturbing micro-skeletons dancing around?

It's hard to look for hints when everything in the title sequence is designed to grab your attention and shock you. Adding to creepy-factor is the almost puppet-like quality to the entire sequence, with cuts of what appear to be a live-action clown inflating a balloon to make the sequence uniquely disturbing. In that regard, missions accomplished, American Horror Story. With an opening like that, the show to follow is sure to be one heck of an interesting time.

The fourth season of FX's hit show will be taking viewers back in time to 1950 as it follows the owner of one of the few remaining "freak shows" in the country. Along the way viewers will meet "freaks" like a bearded lady (played by Kathy Bates), conjoined twins (played by Sara Paulson) and every other type of sideshow attraction imaginable. American Horror Story: Freak Show debuts on Oct 8.
