At this point of the summer, many people might be using August as a month to continue to wind down and relax as much as possible before the fall brings with it the back-to-school season, and before we know it the hustle and bustle of the holidays.
That means there will probably be a few times viewers would want to sit in front of their screens and stream a good movie that they've been dying to see. Those with a subscription to HBO's standalone streaming service, HBO Now, know that its library doesn't disappoint. Just wait until users hear what is being added this month.
August is the month to stream Oscar nominated movies like Brooklyn and The Danish Girl. Other must-see movies coming to the platform include the animated film The Peanuts Movie, as well as The Theory of Everything, Youth and In The Heart Of The Sea.
While these are all newer titles, users can also check out classics like Scarface or Carlito's Way if they are feeling like an afternoon with Al Pacino, the summer baseball romance flick Summer Catch, or the creepy thriller starring Robin Williams, One Hour Photo.
Those who have been watching the HBO original crime series The Night Of can tune into the finale this month, along with the documentaries Meet the Donors: Does Money Talk, where Alexandra Pelosi takes viewers on a behind-the-scenes look at political fundraisers, and Hitchcock/Truffaut, which tells the story of a weeklong conversation with the director and his young admirer.
Make sure to also streaming movie like Mad Max: Fury Road, Barbershop 2: Back in Business and Unfriended before they leave the platform in August.
