The Galaxy Note 7 already leaked on several occasions, but new renders still manage to surprise fans and boost excitement ahead of the big launch.

According to the latest renders that look rather official, the phablet will be available in silver, blue and gold color options. The new images give a first look at the side design of the handset, rather than just showing its front and back like previous leaks.

We are happy to report that the Galaxy Note 7 seemingly sports curves on both the back and the front and that Samsung chose a contrasting color between the side metal rim and the main chassis of the smartphone. The blue variant with the gold rim makes most of the combo, but that's up to personal taste. Samsung fans recently received another treat in the form of a Blue Coral variant leak, which showed the phablet accompanied by the S Pen.

One major difference between previous leaks and the recent one is that the former showed a "Galaxy Note 7" inscription on their backs. The latest leaks show no variant name on the handsets, but that is hardly a new thing. As a reminder, the Galaxy Note 5 also landed featuring just the "Samsung" name on it. This could indicate that the latest leaks belong to products that are further in the development line.

According to the recent image leaks, previous rumors seem to carry weight. We are referring especially to the sloping screen sides belonging to Samsung's proprietary "edge" flexible display, as well as the two holes at the right of the earpiece. These are supposed to carry an iris scanning biometric feature, an increased security measure implemented by the company as fingerprint scanners are the norm.

What is more, the renders confirm that the design of the S Pen stylus will match the colors from the chassis and side colors of the smartphone. We could speculate that the S Pen will be an important guest at this year's Galaxy Note 7 release, based on previous hints that permeated the media. Some were so bold as to claim that the new Galaxy Note 7 S Pen could even write underwater.

Apart from the multiple-featured S Pen, there are other reasons to look forward to the launch of Galaxy Note 7. The OEM will purportedly equip the Galaxy Note 7 with a standard storage of 64 GB, running alongside a microSD expansion slot.

Samsung confirmed that Galaxy Note 7 will roll out on Aug. 2, but kept the lid on the technical specs of the phablet.
