A lot of hype has surrounded the upcoming NES Classic Edition console, which Nintendo unveiled last month. More details on the device have now been revealed, and gamers may become even more excited after knowing all about them.

The console, which will be a modern update to the Nintendo Entertainment System that was released in 1985, comes with 30 preinstalled games that include favorites such as Super Mario Bros. 1, 2 and 3, Punch-Out, Bubble Bobble, Donkey Kong, Final Fantasy and Legend of Zelda.

The NES Classic Edition will be able to connect to HD TVs using an HDMI cable and will come with a controller that is compatible with the Wii and Wii U but is fashioned after the design of the controllers of the original console.

Nintendo of Canada communications manager Julie Gagnon revealed in an interview with a French language radio show that the gaming console will include different display modes such as a pixel perfect option that displays each pixel in games as a square.

Other display modes include one that simulates the retro look of playing games on a CRT television and another mode that displays the games in an aspect ratio of 4:3.

Gagnon also revealed that for all of the 30 games included in the NES Classic Edition, gamers will be able to take advantage of permanent save points and instant temporary saves, which will allow them to begin playing a game from a specific point without having to start from the beginning.

This feature will be handy for those long games, where having to go through the easy levels to challenge the harder levels and boss fights begin to get repetitive after a while.

The NES Classic Edition console is set to launch on Nov. 11 with a price tag of $59.99. As more details on the device emerge, it is looking more and more as a great purchase for that price.

Nintendo has found success with augmented reality mobile game Pokémon GO, and it seems that the NES Classic Edition will also be a hit with all the excitement that gamers are expressing for the console. The excitement was drummed up even more with the release of a new advertisement for the device that brought back memories of the original NES, along with one of the most loved marketing taglines of Nintendo: "Now You're Playing With Power."

It was said that Nintendo has lost its touch, as displayed by the recent struggles of the Wii U gaming console, but the company is seemingly still alive and, well, buoyed by its secret — nostalgia.
