Dragon Ball Super fans got word of a potential new form of Super Saiyan coming to the ongoing anime series earlier this month when a TV listing for an upcoming episode of the show stated "Super Saiyan Rose appears!"

Though likely, it wasn't an official confirmation, and it still wasn't exactly clear what Dragon Ball Super character would be transforming into this new, powerful "Rose" form. Now a new (and official) teaser for the upcoming episode confirms it all: Super Saiyan Rose is real.

Spoilers below!

What is Super Saiyan Rose and how does one achieve it? That's still a mystery, but who actually gets to transform into the new, pink-haired form isn't. New series villain Goku Black looks to be the one who will be powering up, and will no doubt be giving Goku and his Super Saiyan Blue form a run for his money in their upcoming rematch. Below is an image of the new form, taken from the official teaser.

There it is folks. The on-screen text reads "Black Goku Rematch! Super Saiyan Rose Appears!!" as well, which matches up with what the TV listing previously stated.

New super-powered forms for the franchises heroes are, of course, nothing new to the series. In addition to Super Saiyan forms one, two and three, there are various types of fusions, as well as the newly introduced Super Saiyan Blue form. There's also Super Saiyan Kaoi-ken, in which Goku combines an old fighting technique of his with that of his new Super Saiyan Blue powers.

Add Super Saiyan Rose to the ever-growing list, though it should still be interesting to see what makes this new form unique (aside from the pink hairdo). The new episode of Dragon Ball Super will air in Japan next week.

In other Dragon Ball news, fans will soon be able to play Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. At least one character from Dragon Ball Super will be making an appearance, though it seems likely fans might see more characters from the latest story lines show up as well. Fans will find out when Dragon Ball Super releases on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on Oct. 25.
