In regular instances, people are warranted a refund of a game if they are unhappy with it, or if it doesn't work. However, many who have played the new game No Man's Sky for more than 50 hours have been requesting a refund and getting it.

This is a strange occurrence. Sony, Steam and Amazon are all giving out refunds to gamers who claim they are not enjoying No Man's Sky. But the fact that these companies to give out refunds to players who have played the game for more than 50 hours could be linked to the misinformation Hello Games reported to the press and the false advertisement surrounding the game.

One person in particular is not happy with this move, and that's Shahid Kamal Ahmad. He was Sony Europe's director for strategic content in the past, one of the persons who worked behind the scenes to gather as many indie developers as possible to create content for the PlayStation 4.

In a series of tweets, Ahmad said anyone who has played a game for more than 50 hours and asked for a refund should be considered a thief. While he didn't name the game directly, it was assumed he was referring to No Man's Sky.

He did go on to state in another tweet that he's not against players getting their money back, he's just merely against those who have played for a long time then decided to request a refund.

"As a customer and a player before I was ever a developer, I’d only have asked for my money back if the game was broken at boot time," Ahmal added.

As a clear sign that things are not going as Hello Games expected, we can confirm that No Man's Sky's player count has taken a huge hit just two weeks after the game was released. That's a major problem the developers may never be able to rectify as bad word of mouth has been spreading across the web.

No Man's Sky was set to be a hit video game for the PlayStation 4 and PC. The game was designed to have players explore an entire galaxy filled with planets brimming with life. Players have the option to name planets, animals and even plants.

Interestingly enough, many players have been complaining that their discoveries have been wiped for some odd reason. It means that some folk who have discovered certain plants or animals and named them have come to realization that No Man's Sky servers have failed to keep the data alive.
