Razer and Maingear have partnered up to deliver the desktop of gamers' dreams, introducing the Maingear R1 Razer Edition.
To start things off, the PC peripheral maker is without a doubt behind the design of the tower — a bright green theme, a smooth black body and an out-of-this-world feel. More than just aesthetics, the positions of the components inside are made to not only wow onlookers but also to improve the airflow, keeping things nice and cool as much as possible even during intense gaming sessions.
That's not the only thing to be excited about this new computer, though, as the models are packing in some pretty impressive specs to handle some of the most graphically demanding games in the current brood such as Rise of the Tomb Raider and Star Wars Battlefront, to name a few.
Going over the nitty-gritty details, the base variant is loaded with an Intel Core i5-6500 processor that clocks in at 3.2 GHz, 8 GB worth of HyperX Fury RAM, an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 with 3 GB of VRAM and G-Sync that's tuned for virtual reality and a 1 TB Seagate hard drive.
If those configurations don't make the cut, there's a wide selection of upgrades available. First off, customers can opt for a rig with liquid cooling from the get-go, and they can bump up the specs across the board with an Nvidia Titan X with 12 GB of VRAM, an SSD, 32 GB of RAM, an Intel Core i7-6700K at 4.0 GHz and many others.
Of course, it won't come cheap. To no one's surprise, the price for the base model starts out at $999, and that doesn't include liquid cooling in the mix.
It should be pointed out that anyone with a huge enough budget can go crazy with the add-ons and get a beast of a PC or dish out at least $4,099 to get a monster that's loaded with an Intel Core i7-6800K at 3.4 GHz, 16 GB of RAM, an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 with 8 GB of VRAM and G-Sync and a 1 TB HDD.
To check out all the options that Maingear and Razer have in store, the PC builder has them all up on its official website, and just to be clear on that, the Maingear R1 Razer Edition desktops are already available for order.
It's also worth mentioning that Razer rolled out Ornata recently, a keyboard that blends mechanical and membrane technologies together to offer the best of both worlds. That's one gaming gear to consider to match this monstrous PC.
To boil things down, the Maingear R1 Razer Edition is designed to appeal to serious gamers, and with the powerful components under the hood and flashy build, it's a safe bet to assume that practically nobody would regret getting ahold of it — if money isn't a problem, that is.
