Apple is busy on stage unveiling the iPhone 7, wireless earphones AirPods and the Apple Watch Series 2, to name a few, but that doesn't mean it doesn't have anything else up its sleeve outside of the event.

Not forgetting the tablet, the Cupertino brand quietly bumps up the storage options of the iPad Air 2, iPad mini 4 and iPad mini 2 and cuts down the iPad Pro price.

Coming straight from the horse's mouth, the official iPad page got updated with some welcome changes.

iPad Air 2

First up, the iPad Air 2 is now available in 32 GB or 128 GB variants, and the Wi-Fi only models are priced at $399 and $499 and the Wi-Fi plus cellular at $529 and $629 respectively.

Before this development, only the $399 16 GB and $499 64 GB versions were up for grabs. Keeping up with the tradition of sorts, the price gap between the Wi-Fi only and the Wi-Fi with cellular remains at $130.

iPad Mini 4

Second, the iPad mini 4 is available with the same storage configurations of 32 GB and 128 GB and price points as the iPad Air 2. The previous offerings for the slab used to be 16 GB for $399, 64 GB for $499 and 128 GB for $599 models.

iPad Mini 2

Third, the iPad mini 2 is now available in only one variant: a 32 GB model that's priced at $269 for Wi-Fi only and $399 for Wi-Fi plus cellular. Apple used to offer a 16 GB version for those prices, but it looks like it pulled the option down.

iPad Pro

Last but not least, the 12.9- and 9.7-inch iPad Pro models got some significant price cuts across the board. Since there are a lot of variants, here's a quick breakdown of what's in store:

12.9-Inch

• 32 GB Wi-Fi only at $799

• 128 GB Wi-Fi only at $899 from $949

• 256 GB Wi-Fi only at $999 from $1,099

• 128 GB Wi-Fi plus cellular at $1,029 from $1,079

• 256 GB Wi-Fi plus cellular at $1,129 from $1,229

9.7-Inch

• 32 GB Wi-Fi only at $599

• 128 GB Wi-Fi only at $699 from $749

• 256 GB Wi-Fi only at $799 from $899

• 32 GB Wi-Fi plus cellular at $729

• 128 GB Wi-Fi plus cellular at $829 from $879

• 256 GB Wi-Fi plus cellular at $929 from $1,029

The best part of all of this is that customers don't have to wait, as the updated prices are already available across Apple's online and physical stores and the Apple Store app.

What happened here is that some models essentially got their prices slashed down or perhaps some of them retained their prices but packs in larger capacities, but to sum things up, the iPad just became a whole deal more affordable.

With all said and done, are you as glad as we are to see more storage options and lower prices for Apple's line of tablets? If so, feel free to drop by our comments section below and let us know.
