The list of Xbox 360 titles playable on the Xbox One continues to grow, with Microsoft announcing five new games have just been added.

Among them is the stylish action game Bayonetta from developer Platinum Games. Viewed as a cult classic by many, the game would eventually receive a years-later sequel on the Wii U courtesy of Nintendo. Players who own the game digitally should now find it in their "Ready to Install" section on Xbox One, while those with a disc copy can put it into the Xbox to first install and then play the title.

Joining Bayonetta is de Blob 2, Araknoid Live!, QIX ++ and Of Orcs and Men (in certain regions). De Blob 2 is a puzzle platformer, while Of Orcs and Men is an action RPG developed by the folks behind the Game of Thrones RPG and more recently known for developing Styx: Master of Shadows, which was an Xbox Live Games With Gold title earlier this year. Araknoid Live! and QIX ++ are both downloadable Xbox 360 Arcade titles.

The titles join a list of over 200 currently backwards compatible titles, including heavy hitters like Call of Duty: Black Ops and Red Dead Redemption. That being said, there are still a number of major games players are still waiting to see go backwards compatible. Call of Duty: Black Ops II is still the most requested title, with The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare trilogy following close behind.

There's a chance Black Ops II could make the jump, but gamers probably shouldn't hold their breath for a backwards compatible Skyrim or Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Both those games are being remastered and resold for current-generation consoles later this year, which means Bethesda and Activision likely aren't in any rush to see the last-gen version of the games become playable on Xbox One. Same goes for Rocksteady's Batman: Arkham City and Batman: Arkham Asylum, two other popular choices for backwards compatibility.

Even if some of the most requested games never do arrive for backwards compatibility, it's still great to see Microsoft working hard to bring as many as possible over. Xbox boss Phil Spencer previously confirmed that two of the Xbox 360's best JRPGs, Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey, will be arriving for backwards compatibility sometime in the near future.
