Many fans have been worried about Wonder Woman's portrayal in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice due to rumors claiming she has Kryptonian origins. However, those rumors are not true, because Wonder Woman is actually a Demigod.

The new information came straight from the mouth of Charles Roven, producer of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. He clearly stated that Wonder Woman is a Demigod and that her father is the King of the gods, Zeus. The moment he mentioned the name Zeus, we had the feeling that Roven is pulling our legs, because, in her original origins, Zeus was not seen as her father, but only another.

In her original origins, Wonder Woman was said to have been created by the gods, which means she was not made to be by natural birth. Another popular origin pointed out that Wonder Woman is the daughter of Hades, ruler of the underworld, while her mother was Queen Hippolyta.

All this time she was considered as an Amazon, but that changed in 2011 with the DC's New 52. Wonder Woman in her current origins is now viewed as a Demigod and also the daughter of Queen Hippolyta and Zeus, so it appears Warner Bros. and DC are working with the story arc from the New 52 comic series for the film.

In all honesty, we would have preferred if she were the daughter of Hades instead, as we are no fans of the New 52 in any shape or form, unless it's Batman. Still, we hope Warner Bros. and DC know what they are doing, because there is no room for messing up Wonder Woman on the big screen.

Do her right or don't do her at all, that's our official instructions.

There is time to do the right thing, as Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is over a year away from being released into theaters. We were not impressed by Gal Gadot in the Wonder Woman costume, but as stated, there is enough time to transform her into the Wonder Woman we deserve.
