Fans of American Horror Story are now officially on board with this season. After being confused and having nothing that major happen during the first two episodes, viewers finally get some more meat when it comes to the story line this season during "Chapter 3."

We learned a lot, like Lee Miller's (reenactment by Angela Bassett) ex-husband was the latest person to get pig-fried, Flora is still missing, a psychic entered the scene and The Butcher (Kathy Bates) was left for dead with an iron cage on her head in the forest - which is why after "repenting" she now is dedicated to protecting her land.

But there is still a lot we don't know. While we finally got to hear Gaga speak a line, there are only a few clues to who her character could be.

Luckily, it looks like viewers just have to wait until the next episode to find out more about this mysterious and savage forest dweller.

The promo for American Horror Story: Roanoke's "Chapter 4" gives us another glimpse of Gaga, showing a more softer side to her character. She appears only at the end of the promo in a quick flash, but we are able to make out that while she still looks very earthy, she is more radiant and less crazy-eyed.

However, the real focus on next week's episode appears to be on the meaning behind the word "Croatoan."

In "Chapter 3," the Millers find a "skeleton of a farm" while searching for Flora. It is here they discover two feral kids covered in dirt, drinking milk from a pig. After being taken to authorities, the only thing they say is "Croatoan."

When Cricket the psychic holds a seance in the Miller house, he says the same word to protect them all against The Butcher.

And next week's promo reveals that Croatoan might just turn out to be some kind of safe word.

We see Shelby (reenactment by Sarah Paulson) scream the word at someone or something with a look of terror on her face as she backs up into the woods. It could be that this word is used to ward off evil, or serve as some sort of truce.

We also see the word etched into a tree, with a girl with bonnet standing in front of it. This is likely to be Priscilla, and this dark place in the forest could be where she was keeping Flora safe.

While Matt (reenactment by Cuba Gooding Jr.) still has no memory of his romp in the woods, the couple will be chased by something in the house. Someone else might die too, as we see the return of the "MURDE" paint on the wall.

Until then we will have to patiently wait to see if there will be another break in the fourth wall (and reveal more about Evan Peter's character?), and if this is the possible big twist that will happen in episode six where the documentarians are hiding something themselves.

American Horror Story: Roanoke airs on Wednesday at 10 p.m. on FX. Watch the promo for episode four below.
