Lenovo launched three Tab3 models in February, and now the company is said to be working on a new tablet in the series dubbed Tab3 Plus.

Specs of Lenovo's rumored Tab3 Plus have been spotted in the wild. As the name suggests, the Tab3 8 Plus is estimated to be an upgraded version of the Tab3 8. Leaked specs suggest that the upcoming Tab3 8 Plus will sport an 8-inch Full HD screen with a display resolution of 1,920 x 1,200 pixels. The original Tab3 8 comes with an 8-inch HD screen with 1,280 x 800 pixels resolution.

Under the hood of the Tab3 8 Plus would be an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor and 3 GB of RAM. The Tab3 8 comes with 1 GB of RAM, so the memory in the plus model is a significant bump.

If the leaked specs of the Tab3 8 Plus are to be believed then the upcoming Lenovo tablet will be available with 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB of internal storage. Just like the Tab3 8, the Tab3 8 Plus will also support microSD card that will allow users to expand the storage capacity.

The Tab3 8 is equipped with a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. However, tablet enthusiasts can expect the rumored Tab3 8 Plus to come with 8-megapixel primary camera and 5-megapixel selfie camera.

The Tab3 8 comes with Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. Google has released the latest Android 7.0 Nougat and customers will hope that the Tab3 8 Plus comes with the new operating system.

Lenovo launched the Tab3 8 at an entry price of $149 for the LTE model in the U.S. However, the Tab3 8 Plus sports enhanced features and buyers should expect to pay slightly more for the tablet.

According to an International Data Corporation report the international tablet market declined by 12 percent in Q2 2016, and it predicts that the overall growth in the tablet market will decline in 2016. However, low-cost tablets are still attracting customers.

"Lenovo's strength is primarily in Asia/Pacific, Europe and the Middle East & Africa (MEA). The company has managed to grow its share on the backs of unique, sometimes esoteric designs. Tablets like the Yoga Tab 3 Pro offer a built-in projector and have allowed Lenovo to differentiate themselves from other premium media-focused tablets. However, the majority of its shipments still come from the low-cost Lenovo Tab 2 and Lenovo Tab 3 lineups," says IDC.

Lenovo has not released any details of the Tab3 8 Plus, which means that customers will have to wait until the company officially announces the device and reveals its specs. Till then all rumors regarding the Tab3 8 Plus should be taken with a pinch of salt.
