The highly anticipated Audi RS 3 Sedan will debut at the Paris Motor Show 2016, which kicks off on Oct. 1.

The Audi RS 3 Sedan will be powered by a 2.5-liter turbocharged five-cylinder engine that debuted in the TT RS. The engine is considered as the most-powerful engine in the market and it produces 400 horsepower, or 294 kilowatts. The power is about 33 hp more than its predecessor. The car also comes with 354 lb-ft of torque.

"Its 480 Nm (354.0 lb-ft) of torque is available at engine speeds between 1,700 and 5,850 revolutions per minute for outstanding tractive power," says Audi.

The compact Audi RS 3 can go from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour, or about 62.1 miles per hour, in only 4.1 seconds. The car can reach maximum speed of 250 kph, or 155.3 mph. Audi will increase the top speed limit to 280 kph, or about 174 mph, on request from customers.

The car has a seven-speed, dual-clutch automatic gearbox and Audi's quattro all-wheel drive system. The AWD management will be available as a standard feature along with the adjustable exhaust flaps, steering, engine management and gearbox. The driver of the car will have the option to individually vary the operations of these components between three modes: Comfort, Auto and Dynamic.

The Audi RS 3 Sedan offers improved handling via the four-link rear axle and lower suspension, which is 1 inch lower. The car has front brake disks with a diameter of 14.6 inches. The 19-inch wheels of the RS 3 Sedan also have brake disks with a diameter of 12.2 inches.

The Audi RS 3 Sedan has a great aerodynamic kit, thanks to the extensive design improvements. It includes large air intakes, large tailpipes and new bumpers with skirt for the front and a diffuser for the rear. The car will be available in two colors: Catalunya Red and Nardo Gray.

The new sedan from the German car maker will be available in the U.S. and China starting summer 2017, which means customers will have to wait for a few months before they can buy the car. The RS 3 Sedan will be sold under the Audi Sports label. Car lovers in Europe may have to wait longer because Audi is yet to confirm launch details of the RS 3 Sedan for European markets.

The carmaker has not revealed the price of the RS 3 Sedan but the car is expected to compete with the BMW M2, which means customers should expect the Audi offering to be available in the range of $50,000.
