Verizon is putting the recently unwrapped Google Pixel and Pixel XL up for preorder, and to sweeten the deal, it's bundling the smartphones with the new Daydream View VR headset.

That means subscribers of the Big Red won't have much trouble in getting the most out of the mobile devices that the Mountain View company unveiled at its huge October event, but needless to say, they're going to have to meet a few requirements to jump in on the deal.

How To Get The Free Daydream View VR Headset: Requirements And Deadline

Right off the bat, those who want to nab Daydream View will have to preorder the Pixel and Pixel XL between Oct. 4 and Oct. 19 and sign up for a Verizon plan.

The 32 GB Pixel will be available at $27.08 a month for 24 months and the 128 GB variant at $31.24 a month for the same duration, while the 32 GB Pixel XL will be up for grabs at $32.08 a month for 24 months and the 128 GB model at $36.24 a month for the same period.

After they finish the checkout process, users will have to go to www.yourdigitalrebatecenter.com, enter the promo code GOOGLEGIFT and fill out the rest of the requirements, including the purchase date and other info.

Verizon will then send their Daydream View unit within roughly three to six weeks after it has received the receipt of claim.

It should be pointed out that participants of the promo have to be over 13 years old.

The Daydream View VR Headset: What It Has In Store

For the uninitiated, Google's next iteration of the Cardboard is a huge step-up. Just to be clear on that, it comes in with a wide range of compatibility with devices from other brands and a controller with built-in motion sensors, a clickable trackpad, volume controls, a home button and an app button, not to mention that it's made out of part plastic and fabric, making it washable to boot.

Bought separately, Daydream View will hold back consumers by $79.99, and it's expected to roll out this November.

Under The Hood: Pixel And Pixel XL Specs

As a quick refresher, the Pixel sports a 5-inch FHD display, and the Pixel XL a 5.5-inch WQHD screen.

They are both powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 821 paired with 4 GB worth of RAM. Out of the box, they run on a special version of Android 7.1 Nougat.

To keep the lights on, the Pixel is loaded with a 2,770 mAh battery. Meanwhile, the Pixel XL is crammed with a whopping 3,450 mAh cell.

As mentioned earlier, they are available in storage configurations of 32 GB and 128 GB.

Regarding color options, there's three to choose from: Really Blue, Very Silver and Quite Black. Unfortunately, the 128 GB variant isn't available in Really Blue, but all of them come with a three-month subscription to Google Play Music.

A quick word on their release date: They are expected to ship out on Oct. 20.
