'Overwatch' Leak: Alleged Images Of Sombra, Blizzard's Plans This Halloween Surface

Developers often introduce updates and events during Halloween, and Overwatch appears to be girding for an all-out party that will not only involve a special event but will also introduce a new hero.

First, let us enumerate the leaked information on the Overwatch Halloween events. These include loot boxes that will purportedly be available in the Xbox Store, and this rumor has been corroborated by leaked image and videos.

It is not yet confirmed what the loot boxes will do, but gamers can look back in August, when Overwatch also introduced Olympic-themed gears. An alleged description also emerged.

"Every Loot Box contains up to four cosmetic items, including at least one Halloween skin, spray, highlight intro, emote, victory pose, player icon, voice line, or credits that you can use to unlock other items," a Reddit post cited the information that was allegedly posted at the Xbox store.

That description also cited that there are more than 100 items available to be unwrapped. While it is undoubtedly a way for Overwatch to make money, the loot boxes could prove appealing to gamers looking for enhanced gaming experience and opportunities to show off new gears and capabilities.

Now, the Halloween brawl and the identity of the new hero were first posted at Reddit by a user linked to a Russian Overwatch group. The original post has since been taken down, but some users took screenshots, which include the photo posted in this article.

The Halloween brawl seems to be a survival mode where the player defends a castle from an onslaught of Zomnics and a certain Dr. Junkenstein and his minions. This rumor has been corroborated by a leaked Spanish issue of Overwatch comic book, where the doctor was shown, possibly conceptualized with Frankenstein in mind.

The claim is that there are three difficulties to the brawl, and each offers different points that could be translated to experience or could be used to buy event items.

Finally, there is the leaked hero who, if true, will be called Sombra. The leak gave her a comprehensive description, complete with a back story. Essentially, the female character is said to be a hacker who relies on computers to survive. She has worked for the notorious Mexican gang Los Muertos and the Talon organization. There are no specific details regarding her battle skills except for the gun she was carrying.

The Sombra leak was also confirmed by several sources. For instance, the Twitter account sssniperwolf said that it confirmed Blizzard's concept art of a character with the same name.
