The Nintendo NX is a mystery right now with gamers everywhere wanting to know when the company plans to release new information about it. While we wait for the official reveal, rumors and leaks are now taking center stage.

The latest rumor comes from leaked data that suggest the Nintendo NX will indeed be both a home console and a handheld gaming device in a single package. We've been hearing about this rumor for quite some time, so what's new?

According to information from Reddit, via a leaker who allegedly works at a retail store, it would seem as if Nintendo is aiming to sell the NX for the cool price of $299 and $399. The latter price is expected to be a bundle, while the former should be the base price, but the leaked data did not explain what the bundle consists of.

How Will Nintendo Market The NX?

The Reddit post says there's a poster with the phrase, "Interact with your game on the go." This is a bit troubling because the world "interact" is used here. It doesn't say players will have the option to play on the go, but simply interact with the game.

That could mean many things, but from our point of view, it doesn't mean being able to take the NX from home console mode and continue playing the same game while mobile.

Nintendo NX Specifications And Features

As we've heard before, the games will come on cartridges. Outside of the handheld system, we've never seen a home console rocking cartridges since the Nintendo 64. Gamers should prepare to return to the days of blowing into a cartridge when technical difficulties arise.

The leaked data also talked about 4K streaming for movies, but don't expect to play 4K games on the NX any time soon, or ever for that matter. Furthermore, we understand Nintendo is pushing to have games running at 1080p and 60 frames per second when attached to a TV.

When playing, or interacting with games on the mobile size, 900p is the targeted resolution.

We should point out that Reddit moderators vetted the leaker to make sure this piece of information is legitimate. However, this still doesn't mean it's true, so hold out for the official Nintendo reveal.

Nintendo might have something interesting on its hands here. In the past, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot claimed that the NX will bring Nintendo back in the game. He didn't reveal any information, but it would seem as if he was genuinely excited about the console and what it can do.

Until the NX is released, gamers can set their eyes on the Nintendo NES Classic Edition that is bound to hit retail stores come Nov. 11.
