Razer is back with an amazing new gaming laptop, introducing the high-end Razer Blade Pro that's bound to make some heavy waves among gamers.

The powerful new Razer Blade Pro could easily replace your desktop, according to Razer, rocking a topnotch spec sheet and a truly impressive mechanical keyboard to boot.

"Setting a new standard for desktop replacement notebooks, the Razer Blade Pro delivers on the promise of a true desktop experience in an incredibly thin form factor," touts Razer.

The "desktop inside your laptop," as Razer calls the Blade Pro, packs a quad-core Intel Core i7-6700HQ processor clocked at 2.6 GHz and although it's not the latest Kaby Lake it will still be blazing fast. Topping off the powerful processor is a desktop-class Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 graphics processing unit and PCle SSD storage ranging from 512 GB to a massive 2 TB.

To handle the heat, Razer implemented a vapor cooling solution known as phase-change cooling, consisting of vapor systems similar to those found in supercomputers.

The Razer Blade Pro further comes with a hefty 32 GB of 2,113 MHz DDR4 RAM, a Killer DoubleShot Pro network interface card for up to 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Gigabit Ethernet.

Also notable is the Blade Pro's USB Type-C port on its right side, doubling as a Thunderbolt 3 jack and supporting high bandwidth of up to 40 Gbps.

The Razer Blade Pro's IGZO display measures 17.3 inches and rocks 4K resolution (3,840 x 2,160 pixels), complete with Nvidia G-Sync and multitouch. Other details include HDMI, three USB 3.0 ports and an SD card reader. The gaming laptop doesn't have an optical drive, but it doesn't really need one.

One major selling point may be the mechanical keyboard Razer outfitted onto the new Blade Pro, delivering impressive agility and tactile responsiveness for an "uncompromised desktop grade experience."

"This revolutionary technology with slim chiclet keycaps raises the bar for ultra-mobile keyboards," says Razer. "Featuring anti-ghosting capabilities, optimized reset points and an actuation force of 65g, the world's first ultra-low-profile mechanical switch delivers the same performance and clicky feel as a traditional mechanical keyboard."

The laptop also has a large touchpad about the size of an Apple Magic TrackPad, located on the right of the keyboard where a NumPad would usually sit. Its large size makes it comfortable to use, albeit it may take a bit to get used to not finding the touchpad below the keyboard.

Although it packs impressive power and a mechanical keyboard, the Razer Blade Pro doesn't compromise portability. The gaming laptop measures a sleek 0.88 inches in thickness and tips the scale at 7.8 pounds, which is not too shabby for a desktop-grade laptop.

Lastly, the 2016 Razer Blade Pro will start shipping next month, but all that power comes with a price to match. The laptop costs $3,699, which may be out of many gamers' price range. Check out the video below to get a better idea of what the new Blade Pro brings to the table.
