Apple has an event planned for Thursday at its Cupertino campus where the company is widely expected to unveil the latest MacBook. Many will attend but it is not possible for millions of iFans to be physically present at the keynote.

Those who want to witness the presentation live can do so at the comfort of their living rooms. Here are some ways to watch the Apple event live that starts at 10 a.m. PDT or 1 p.m. EDT.

Apple Website

Apple will be streaming the Thursday event directly on its website. Fans who want to watch the live stream should note that it will work only on Safari 5.1.10 or later, and the browser must be running on Mac OS X 10.6.8 onward.

PC

Unfortunately, the live stream does not always work on Google Chrome. The stream will work on Windows 10 PC with the Edge browser.

Apple TV

Apple TV owners will be able to watch the live stream as long it is running on OS version 6.2 or higher. Users just have to go to the home screen where the Apple Events channel will appear.

iOS Device

People who do not have a computer or an Apple TV can also watch the live stream on an iDevice running iOS 7.0 or later, which means iFans can also watch the event on the go.

Hashtag AppleEvent

Apple events are normally very popular in the tech community. Those who cannot watch the event live can follow tweets about the event by following the hashtag AppleEvent.

Missing The Event

There would be many people who would not be able to watch the event live because of time differences, important work schedule or other reasons. Apple will also record and publish the entire event on the Apple Events page where people can watch anything they missed.

What To Expect At The Event?

A number of devices in the Mac lineup need attention as many Macs have not been refreshed in more than a year. Apple changed the design of the MacBook Pros in 2012 and its time for the device to get an overhaul.

Apple updated the 13-inch MacBook Air earlier this year with 8 GB of RAM. Rumors suggest that the company may unveil some minor changes in the MacBook Air during the Thursday event.

Apple updated the iMac in October 2015. Reports suggest that Apple may announce new iMacs but the company may not ship them until 2017.

The Mac Pro has not been updated since 2013. Apple may announce some updates for the Mac Pro at the event.

Apple has not refreshed the Mac mini since two years. It remains unclear if the company will retire the product or update it once again. There are no rumors of the Mac mini but given that Apple updated Mac mini in 2012 and then in 2014, it is likely that the device may see an update this year.
