With Halloween near, the creepy killer clowns who have been terrorizing innocent people may soon carry out the alleged purge night.
Rumor has it that it's going to happen in at least 16 areas, and even though these haven't been confirmed, it's still recommended to exercise caution and be aware of suspicious-looking individuals donning costumes of the sort.
Where Is The Clown Purge Said To Take Place?
According to a report by The Bitbag, the nefarious clowns could make their moves in Atlanta, Georgia; Birmingham, Alabama; Chicago, Illinois; Dayton, Ohio; Denver, Colorado; Delaware; Florida; Greenville, South Carolina; Oklahoma; Tennessee; Kentucky; Las Vegas, Nevada; Los Angeles, California; Pennsylvania; Richmond, Virginia; Upstate New York and Lehigh Valley.
As mentioned earlier, these haven't been verified, but residents — especially trick-or-treaters — in those areas are advised to stay vigilant.
Coming from The Bitbag again, the first attacks are said to happen in either New York or Ohio, but it speculates that the latter makes more sense since the felons would have more getaway options there.
When Is The Clown Purge Purportedly Going To Occur?
Assuming that the purge night is indeed true, it's widely believed to transpire on the night of Oct. 30, right before Halloween.
However, the rumored date is from a now-deleted Facebook post, which fortunately has been archived.
"WARNING clowns are allegedly planning their own purge the night before Halloween. Stay inside, keep all pets inside and keep all doors and windows locked. Share this post with your family and friends!" it said.
Across The Pond: Clown Purge Not Limited To The United States
Earlier this month, reports of the clown craze reaching Canada, the United Kingdom and Australia surfaced, raising security concerns across the globe.
On that note, the Bedfordshire Police have raised the alarms recently, announcing that it will not tolerate "anti-social behavior."

Is The Clown Purge Real Or Fake?
It's still unclear whether the purge night is real or fake, but it has already done some damage, including but not limited to compromising the safety and livelihood of real professional clowns and giving parents out there another thing to worry about for their children who go trick-or-treating.
That said, it should be pointed out that Snopes.com has considered this bizarre event to be false, but to be on the safe side of things, everybody should keep an eye out when they're outside at night on Oct. 30.
