Microsoft has popularized the 2-in-1 Windows laptop devices with the Surface Pro and Surface Book line of computers. These are the type of machines that are pushing Windows 10, and many OEMs have decided to follow Microsoft's lead.

What we have here is a change in how laptops with Windows inside are created. No longer are consumers required to have two when they can have one.

In the past, folks had to have a tablet for road use and a laptop for home use, but the 2-in-1 design has changed that forever. However, with so many 2-in-1 devices on the market, which ones are the best? Not the easiest question in the world, but certainly not the most difficult.

Let's talk a bit about the best 2-in-1 Windows 10 computers of 2016. These devices are the best of their class, so you won't be missing out on much.

Microsoft Surface Book 2016

This is the work of the new Microsoft, a company that has changed a lot since Satya Nadella took over as CEO. The Surface Book was launched to much excitement back in 2015, and to this day, it's still a force to be reckoned with. Furthermore, the company announced an update to the computer recently, and as such, that's the one we're going to focus on.

The Microsoft Surface Book 2016 is much better than the older model, and that's because it comes with a sixth-generation i7 processor. It also has a Nvidia GeForce GTX 965M, which is twice as powerful when compared to what is found in the older model.

It's not the best graphic card for playing high-end video games, but it should be good enough for RTS titles and Source games such as Counter Strike.

Now, battery life is important, which is why Microsoft promises a whopping 16 hours of battery life. That's a lot for a laptop. As for the price, the less expensive model will cost a cool $2,399. Well, it's a cool price for those who can afford it.

Lenovo Yoga 910

When we look at the Yoga 910, it looks similar to the Surface Book 2016, at least in terms of specifications. However, the Lenovo device might get the edge in the performance department due to its seventh-generation Core i7 processor. It also has a 13.9-inch display compared to the 13.5-inch on the Surface Book 2016.

Bear in mind that the Lenovo Yoga 910 does not have a detachable base, but it can be folded into a tablet, so that's nice.

In terms of battery life, the Lenovo is capable of delivering nine hours of power, while the Microsoft computer has an estimated 16 hours, but time will tell if such is the case.

HP Spectre x360

If you're expecting this 2-in-1 to be affordable, think again. We're not talking about affordable 2-in-1 Windows 10 computers today.

With the Spectre, consumers are getting a superfast seventh generation Core i7 processor, 3,840 x 2,160 resolution display, Intel HD Graphics 620 graphic card and up to 16 GB of RAM. The device can be folded into a tablet similar to the Yoga 910, and that's a plus for those who require a single computer that does all.

It's the most affordable of the three, seeing as the price begins at $899.99. It's an excellent device and one that should be grabbed by anyone looking for a 2-in-1 Windows 10 computer.
