A slew of tablets are available in the market with various spec configurations. However, some tablets attract more customers than others.

Here are some of the best Android tablets of 2016.

Google Pixel C

The Pixel C was unveiled near the end of September 2015 and released in early December. The tablet sports a 10.2-inch screen with a display resolution of 2,560 × 1,800 pixels.

Under the hood are an Nvidia X1 quad-core processor, a Maxwell GPU and 3 GB of RAM. Customers have the option to purchase the tablet with 32 GB or 64 GB of internal memory.

The Pixel C is equipped with an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 2-megapixel selfie camera. The Google tablet weighs 9.53 x 7.05 x 0.28 inches, or 242 x 179 x 7 millimeters, and it weighs 18.23 ounces, or about 517 grams.

Being a Google device, the Pixel C is one of the first to get an Android update.

The Pixel C is available at a starting price tag of $499 in the United States.

Sony Xperia Z4

The Xperia Z4 tablet features a 10.1-inch screen with a 2,560 x 1,600 pixel resolution. A Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor and 3 GB of RAM power the Sony tablet. It is available only with 32 GB on-board storage.

The Xperia Z4 includes an 8.1-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 5.1-megapixel front-facing camera.

The Sony offering measures 10.00 x 6.57 x 0.24 inches, or 254 x 167 x 6.1 millimeters. The tablet weighs 13.86 ounces, or 393 grams, making it lighter than the Pixel C.

Amazon is selling the black or white versions of the tablet for $559.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 (9.7 inches)

Samsung launched the two models of the Galaxy Tab S2 in July 2015: one with an 8-inch screen and the other with a 9.7-inch screen. The bigger model has a display resolution of 2,048 x 1,536 pixels.

The tablet runs on an Exynos 7 processor and 3 GB of RAM. The Samsung offering features an 8.1-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera for video chats. It is available with 32 GB or 64 GB internal memory.

The 9-7-inch Galaxy Tab S2 measures 9.34 x 6.65 x 0.22 inches, or 237.3 x 169 x 5.6 millimeters, which makes it one of the thinnest tablets available in the market. It weighs 389 grams ounces, or 13.72 ounces.

The price of the tablet is $499.99 but currently Amazon is selling it with a $150.99 discount, which brings down the price tag to $349.

Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Pro

The 10.1-inch tablet from Lenovo has a display resolution of 1,600 x 2,560 pixels.

The tablet includes an Intel Atom processor and 2 GB of RAM. It comes with 32 GB of on-board storage capacity.

The Yoga Tab 3 Pro includes a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 5-megapixel front camera.

The Lenovo tablet weighs 9.72 x 7.05 x 0.18 inches, or 247 x 179 x 4.68 millimeters. It weighs 23.45 ounces, or 665 grams, which makes the Yoga Tab 3 Pro one of the heaviest tablets in its category.

Customers can buy the tablet from Amazon for $489.99.
