Apple is in a generous mood and it just slashed 25 percent off the gorgeous UltraFine 4K and 5K displays as part of a limited-time offer.

Both LG UltraFine displays were designed to take full advantage of Apple's latest MacBook Pro powerhouse, but nothing related to the MacBook Pro is cheap.

In a bid to make things more accessible, Apple is now on a price cutting spree. In addition to discounting USB-C accessories and peripherals, the company is now extending the offer to the UltraFine displays it developed in collaboration with LG.

After the special discounts, the 4K variant of the LG UltraFine display now costs $524 instead of its normal price of $699, while the 5K version drops to $974 from the hefty $1,299.95 it normally costs.

The fine print on Apple's website notes that this is a limited-time offer that applies to orders placed between Oct. 27 and Dec. 31, indicating that those who purchased either display in recent days should see the balance credited to their accounts retroactively.

The deadline for this promotion coincides with the deadline for the sale on MacBook Pro accessories and peripherals, which are also available at discounted prices until the end of this year.

The LG UltraFine 4K and 5K displays were developed in collaboration with Apple and made their debut alongside the new MacBook Pro last week. Both displays serve as Thunderbolt 3 breakout docks for the MacBook Pro, which has quite an unfortunate port situation.

The LG UltraFine 5K Display is a 27-inch beast with up to 5,120 x 2,880 resolutions on the wide P3 color gamut, promising a crystal-clear visual experience. The display has three USB 3.1 ports on its back, allowing users to attach various accessories and use them at high speed. Other highlight features include stereo speakers, a microphone and a camera. Moreover, the UltraFine 5K Display can also push 85W of power to a connected MacBook pro via Thunderbolt 3.

The 4K display, meanwhile, measures 21.5 inches and supports resolutions of 4,096 x 2,304 pixels, also at P3 color gamut. This version also has three USB-C ports on its back, but at a slower USB 2 standard. The power supply is also lower than that of its larger brother, delivering only 60W of power to the MacBook pro over Thunderbolt 3.

The LG UltraFine 4K Display is available for purchase now and is set to ship in roughly five or six weeks, while the higher-end 5K model should hit the scene in December.
