Apple recently released the second beta for iOS 10.2, an update that introduces several important features and improvements to the company's mobile operating system.

The second developer beta version that Apple has released for iOS 10.2 is normally not accessible by regular users, as such versions are meant for developers to give them a head start in developing and tweaking their apps to work with an upcoming iOS update. Often, a public beta is released alongside the developer beta, but because the second beta of iOS 10.2 adds a new app, Apple has held off on launching a public release.

Fortunately, for non-developer users who are itching to see what the second beta of iOS 10.2 is all about, there is a way to install the beta version even without an Apple developer account.

Install iOS 10.2 Beta 2 With No Developer Account

The method to install the second beta of iOS 10.2 without a developer account was revealed by YouTube user iCrackUriDevice. The video shows that users do not even need to connect their iPhone or iPad to a computer.

To start the process, users will have to first install the developer beta profile of Apple. The new beta version will automatically be available as an over-the-air update after the installation.

What's In iOS 10.2 Beta 2?

The biggest addition to the second beta of iOS 10.2 is the new TV app for the iPhone, which is Apple's platform for online video. Through the app, users can browse through all TV shows, movies and videos hosted online through various platforms, though Netflix content is notably excluded.

The second beta version also adds a new SOS function, which automatically connects the iOS device with emergency services after five presses on the home button, with the feature to be made available in select countries. The Music app of Apple will also see slight changes to its interface.

Other Changes With iOS 10.2

The first beta version of iOS 10.2 revealed that the operating system update will add a Preserve Settings option for the Camera app, which will retain the options that users make when taking pictures, along with a new widget for the Videos app.

One of the major additions to iOS 10.2 is the addition of full support for Unicode 9.0, which will expand the choices for emojis in the operating system. Among the emojis to be added along with iOS 10.2 are the facepalm emoji, the shrug emoji and a host of new emojis representing animals and professions.
