HTC announced its flagship smartphone, the HTC 10, in April 2016. The phone packs top-end features but customers want to see better features in its successor, the HTC 11.

Here are some specs and features that could make the HTC 11 better than the HTC 10.

Design

The HTC 10 has an all-metal design and chamfered edges. The handset gives a premium feel in the hand but it looks very similar to the Samsung Galaxy S7. The HTC 11 should have a unique and iconic design that will make the mobile phone stand out from the crowd.

Screen And Display

The HTC 10 features a 5.2-inch LCD screen with a display resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels. Rumors suggest that the HTC 11 could sport a bigger 5.5-inch AMOLED screen with 2,560 x 1,440 pixel resolution.

Processor And RAM

The HTC 10 runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and 4 GB of RAM. A previous Tech Times report highlighted that the rumored HTC 11 could include Qualcomm Snapdragon 830 processor and 8 GB of RAM, a significant upgrade.

Storage

The HTC 10 is available with either 32 GB or 64 GB of internal storage capacity. Customers have the option to expand the memory to an additional 2 TB with a microSD card. HTC fans would expect that HTC also introduces a 128 GB model of the HTC 11.

Camera

The HTC 10 is equipped with a 12-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Both cameras have optical image stabilization. The company claims that the HTC 10 has one of the best cameras in any smartphone (based on DxOMark score in April 2016).

"HTC 10 has been awarded a DxOMark score of 88 for camera quality. One of the highest scores today. It's the result of tens of thousands of hours spent tuning our cameras to take world-class photos and videos," says HTC.

HTC is said to introduce an upgraded 8-megapixel selfie camera and a 12-megapixel primary camera in the HTC 11. Both cameras will retain OIS.

Battery

The HTC 10 comes with a 3,000 mAh battery. The HTC 10 supports USB Type-C and the company claims that with fast charging, the battery can be charged to 50 percent within 30 minutes.

Speculations are rife that a bigger 4,000 mAh battery will fuel the HTC 11, making the new phone better in terms of battery life.

Water- And Dust-Proof

The HTC 10 has IP53 certification, which means that the mobile phone is not entirely dust or water proof.

Rivals of the HTC 10, such as the Galaxy S7, iPhone 7 and more are water- and dust-proof. Customers will want HTC to bring the upcoming HTC 11 at par with other top-end devices when it comes to water and dust resistance. Some rumors say that the HTC 11 could be IP67-certified, making it dust and waterproof.

The HTC 11 is estimated to be launched in mid-2017. However, the company has not revealed any information on the upcoming smartphone, which means customers should take all rumors about the phone with a pinch of salt.
