Pokémon Sun and Moon are almost upon us. A series of exhaustive data mines may have mired the latest entries in the mainline Pokémon series, but they remain increasingly hyped as we near the release date.

The Pokémon Company has progressively given us plenty of Pokémon information throughout the year, along with their corresponding abilities and the introduction of Z-moves, all of which are slightly enough for players to gear up and strategically place their potential teams once the games ship next week.

We previously provided a detailed explanation about which starter is the best choice, but now a new tool that helps you pick your team has already surfaced.

Pokémon Sun and Moon Team Planner

There are so many Pokémon to choose from but you can only pick six of them at a given time, so it's crucial that you pick the right character combinations that can benefit you during battles with their special abilities, movesets and stats.

Then comes the Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon Team Planner, an unofficial tool created by Reddit user richi3f that lets you filter Pokémon by a number of categories in order to create your team. Once you select your roster, it will display that team's weaknesses, abilities and resistances as a brief once-over of how it'll perform during battles and to let you know which types to avoid sparring against.

Of course, if you want to avoid being spoiled by a number of yet-unannounced Pokémon, do not visit the site as it contains information from the recent data mine.

Choosing from a trove of more than 800 Pokémon is a crucial aspect of preparation especially for competitive play. So much so that the difference between a great roster and an appalling one could be the result of removing or adding even just one Pokémon that weakens the overall lineup. For now, the unofficial tool is a great way to pair up six Alolan Pokémon ahead of the game's release to feed the hype.

Pokémon Sun And Moon Leaks

In today's technology and level of precision with which hackers are able to dig, basically no game has been safe from the prying hands of those who want to drill deep down into a game's code just to find out possible hidden details and Easter eggs unbeknownst to less code-savvy players.

With Sun and Moon, those people have succeeded, listing every possible item, move, new Pokémon and more just by hacking the game demo released on Oct. 18. The data mine spoiled a tremendous amount of information regarding the titles, but only a true Pokémon fan would patiently wait until the game arrives to explore Alola spoiler-free.

Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon come out Nov. 18 for $39.99 exclusively on Nintendo 3DS or 2DS systems.
