The nation's biggest retailers have revealed their big Black Friday 2016 deals on one of the most popular holiday gift items, Microsoft's Xbox One gaming console. Target, Best Buy, GameStop, Walmart, Costco, Kohl's, Dell and Microsoft itself all have discount prices on various Xbox One bundles, but which retailer has the best sale of all?

2016 Xbox One Bundle Price Drop

It has now become a tradition for the most popular gaming consoles, Xbox One S and Sony's PlayStation 4, to be sold in holiday bundles that include at least one game compatible with the purchased console and potentially other add-ons and accessories. Each holiday season, Sony and Microsoft announce the retail price of their popular bundles, which this year comes in at $299, down from last year's standard price of $349.

The Black Friday competitive frenzy results in many of the nation's retailers not only discounting the bundle price by $50 but also adding extras and perks of their own to sweeten the pot. Last year, both Target and Walmart outdid their competitors by offering $60 and $30 gift cards on top of the $50 discount that was being offered at other stores, with Target's deal deemed the best of the bunch.

Black Friday Xbox One Bundle Deals: Some Better Than Others

This year, it looks as if $50 off of the Xbox One S bundles is the standard minimum discount, and that's the best consumers can do at Best Buy, Walmart and GameStop this year. All of those retailers are offering select Minecraft bundles for $249. Costco is offering an additional $10 savings on a Minecraft bundle, bringing the price down to $239 at its stores.

Target is once again doing those stores one better by offering either the Minecraft or Battlefield 1 bundles for $249 with a $40 gift card included. While that's not as good as last year's $60 gift card, with the initial bundle price having been lowered by $50 from last year as well, the constructive price of the bundle at Target is now $219 as opposed to $239 in 2015.

Best Deal Of The Bunch

Kohl's however, is offering an even lower constructive price of just $175 on the Minecraft bundle by including $75 in Kohl's cash, which can be spent on other items at the store.

Not to be outdone, Microsoft is offering an online deal of its own for the Minecraft bundle at $249, plus a $25 Microsoft gift card and an additional select game.

Dell has another worthy deal, which includes the Battlefield 1 bundle, extra game Gears Of War 4 plus an additional Xbox One wireless controller at the $249 price.

So which is the best of the bunch? If you're looking for the lowest constructive price, go with the Kohl's cash, but if you prefer an additional game and controller, Dell has our vote. Microsoft and Target are certainly worthy runners-up, while Best Buy, Walmart and GameStop come up short this year when compared to their competitor's deals on Microsoft Xbox One S bundles. Happy shopping!
