Specs

Processor
The Surface Pro 4 included Intel's Skylake processor. But the Pro 5 tablet is highly likely to come running on the successor to the Skylake processor, the Intel Kaby Lake. However, the launch of the Kaby Lake processor has been delayed and it is expected to arrive in the second half of 2017, which means that Microsoft's fifth-generation tablet could come running on Skylake processor.
Battery
The Surface Pro 4 was plagued with battery drain issues. Many customers complained of its battery draining very quickly. The company did issue a fix, but users would want that such a problem does not arise in the Surface Pro 5.
Operating System
Microsoft is expected to release a new operating system called Windows 10 Redstone 2 sometime in 2017. The next Surface tablet may come running on the new OS straight out of the box.
RAM and Storage
A model of Surface Pro 4 comes with 256 GB of internal storage and 16 GB of RAM. It is very likely that the Surface Pro 5 has a model with 256 GB of onboard storage and 16 GB of RAM.
