Many of us have seen the hit HBO series Silicon Valley. It's a show about a group of young men who created their own start-up known as Pied Piper, and it's also a show that speaks much about how the real Silicon Valley operates.

Many folks have always wondered if the show is depicting what it's really like to be part of the real Silicon Valley — the idea that almost everyone there believe they are changing the world, among other things.

T.J. Miller, best known for his role as Erlich Bachman in Silicon Valley on HBO, spoke with CNET in an interview, and there he shared how he truly feels about the real Valley and whether or not the show is a satire of that. Well, it was easy to tell when Miller hosted the Crunchies Award back in 2015 and made jokes that offended almost everyone.

In the recent interview with CNET, Miller said Silicon Valley is unable to take a joke, especially when the joke is aimed at the populace there. He also believes the Valley takes itself too seriously and that also the folks there are living in a tech bubble where they continuously drink the Kool-Aid.

"I consider everybody who takes themselves seriously to be a little bit off. And Silicon Valley seems to be the most effusive about how important their contributions are to society," says Miller to CNET.

"Our big joke in the show is making the world a better place. Really? How? How does Lyft help people in India?"

"I look at anything Silicon Valley-related with sort of a smirk."

It should be interesting to see if Miller's comments will affect the HBO show in terms of viewership, as many from the Valley will likely feel extremely offended if they weren't already from his previous outbursts.

At the end of the day, Miller did say the show started off with just showing all the cool things one can expect to be happening at Silicon Valley. However, the real satire comes in the form of their egos and how out of proportion it is.

The big takeaway from this interview, is the fact that it's finally been confirmed that Silicon Valley is just one big joke of the real Valley. Whether or not the real Silicon Valley is the same as what the HBO series portrays is left to be seen.

The next season of Silicon Valley is set to hit HBO in 2017, and one can bet that Miller and friends won't hold back on the satire, especially seeing as he believes folks at the Valley are so uptight to the point where they can't take a joke.
