Hello Kitty, the world's most recognizable cat icon gets another popular product added to her ever-expanding universe.
Fujufilm launched on Oct. 23 a Hello Kitty instant camera to celebrate their 80th anniversary, as well as Hello Kitty's 40th anniversary.

According to reports, Fujifilm hopes that sales of the kitty-themed camera will reach 3 million to 3.5 million in Asia Pacific countries, India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh.

Sanrio, the Japanese company behind Hello Kitty shocked the world a few months ago when they revealed that the beloved feline is actually not really a cat, but a perpetually third grade girl, named Kitty White (or Kiti Howaito in Japanese), living outside of London who has a twin sister and a pet kitty.  No explanation was given on why a little human girl would have cat hears and a bobtail.

The partnership with Fujufilm will turn their special edition Instax camera into Hello Kitty's iconic white head with cat ears and a red bow.

Previously, Fujifilm also released a limited edition Fujifilm instax mini 25 Cheki Hello Kitty camera which had Hello Kitty's winking face displayed on front of the camera.  The mini Instax camera came bundled with refills, a strap, a close-up lens with selfie shooting mirror, batteries, and Hello Kitty stickers.

Although the instant camera product line is most popular in East Asian countries, it has been gaining traction in the North American marketplace and Europe as well, especially among younger snap-happy fans who want to immediately share their photos using the easy built-in tools of the camera.

Perfect for toting along to Halloween parties or as a Christmas gift this holiday season.

The Fujifilm Instax camera, Hello Kitty edition, will be bundled in a package with enough instant film for 10 photos.  More refills may be purchased for Fujifilm as well as many online and camera retailers like Amazon.com for $19.99.
