Google Allo is helping Star Wars fans prepare for the latest installment of the movie franchise. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story premieres in theaters this Dec. 16, but until then fans will have to settle for the Star Wars stickers available on Google's own messaging app.

The new Star Wars stickers put smileys and emojis to shame. The set of stickers released to usher in the new movie installment features some of the main characters and villains of the movie, including Darth Vader and the Stormtroopers.

The Star Wars sticker pack was released one week ahead of the movie premiere. In order to get into the hype, smartphone users should have the Google Allo app in their Android or Apple device. Both Google Allo and the Star Wars stickers are free for download on any smartphone operating system.

"Starting today, exclusive stickers are available in Google Allo to help you prepare for the newest Star Wars adventure," said Chad Lancaster, product marketing manager at Google. "Our stickers feature new characters Jyn, Cassian, and K-2SO, as well as some familiar ones — Stormtroopers, Darth Vader and the Death Star (in all its glory)," he added.

Animated Star Wars Stickers

The stickers are also animated, making them more appealing to Google Allo users. Unlike the seemingly dark plot of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story based on the released trailers, the animated stickers are playful and fun and will surely find their place in everyday Google Allo conversations among friends.

Choose Your Star Wars Characters

There are 23 different sticker designs from the Star Wars sticker pack. The stickers were playfully created to represent the movie characters and even the spacecraft model.

Google released its instant messaging app Google Allo last September and the company has worked since then to make the app the top choice for consumers. In order to do that, the company is consistently releasing themed sticker packs to entice more users to shift from their trusted apps like Whatsapp to Google's own messaging platform.

Aside from the Google Allo Star Wars sticker pack, there are tons of other Star Wars merchandise rolling out in the market just in time for the release of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. One example is Electronic Arts' Rogue One: Scarif, the final expansion to Star Wars: Battlefront.

Star Wars fans now have a lot of Rogue One-inspired games and other releases like the Google Allo sticker pack to keep the Force alive until the movie premieres on Dec. 16.
