Superstar Bruno Mars appeared on James Corden's "Carpool Karaoke" this week, and joined host James Corden in a ride around Los Angeles where the two belted out a number of Mars' biggest hits. Mars is promoting his recently released album 24K Magic, which features the hit single of the same name.

Bruno Mars Rides With James Corden

James Corden has certainly been on a roll lately with the caliber of guests he's been riding around town with on his smash viral "Carpool Karaoke" segment. The segment is a regular feature on his late-night chat show The Late Late Show with James Corden on CBS, and is then posted to the show's YouTube channel soon after debuting on the broadcast network.

Following recent successful jaunts with pop stars Lady Gaga and Madonna, Corden made it a triple by snagging Mars for a ride. Corden starts out by admiring Mars' dress sense, claiming that he couldn't pull off the silk shirt and hat outfit that Mars regularly rocks. He proves his point by wearing a succession of bizarre hats which look ridiculous on Corden but somehow appear hip and cool on Mars' head.

Corden and Mars had a nice rapport, with the affable Mars generally playing the straight man to Corden's amusing comments throughout the ride. Mars shined through in the musical segments, starting off with the first sing along, "24K Magic" and through a slew of his greatest hits, along with a few cuts from his just released 24K Magic album.

The duo sang "Locked Out Of Heaven," "Grenade," "Versace on the Floor," "If I Knew," "Perm," and completed the journey with a rousing rendition of "Uptown Funk", during which Mars reached over and beeped the car's horn for extra effect.

Bruno Mars' 24K Magic Album

Mars' appearance was part of a promotional push for his 24K Magic album, released last month. The singer has been making the rounds to popularize the disc, appearing recently on other high profile broadcasts such as "Saturday Night Live" and "The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show" alongside fellow A-listers Lady Gaga and The Weeknd.

"This album, it was daunting" admitted Mars in a recent interview, "because coming off of 'Uptown Funk' was like the biggest song I've ever been a part of. And then you're like, alright, now what are you gonna do? It's dedicating yourself to your craft. Spending thousands of hours in a studio learning how to write a song, learning how to play different chords, training yourself to sing. You know, to get better and better."
