The Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Developer Edition is now available from Samsung's online store. The phablet is identical to Verizon's current Note 4 but comes with an unlocked boot loader, to make loading custom ROMS easier.

Samsung just announced that it has sold more than 4.5 million Galaxy Note 4 phablets in the first month of sales. While this number is very impressive, it's actually 500,000 units less than last year's Galaxy Note 3, which racked up 5 million devices sold during its first month on store shelves.

The phablet is still extremely popular and is sold out or in limited availability at carrier and retail stores.

We recently reported that Samsung posted information, including pricing, on the Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Developer Edition. Samsung had originally priced the phablet at $662.53, which made it cheaper than the $699 off-contract price Verizon is currently selling the smartphone for.

If you were interested in scoring the Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Developer Edition, you can now purchase the phablet from Samsung's online store. Unfortunately, the smartphone isn't any cheaper than Verizon's off-contract price of $699.

In case you're wondering, the Verizon Galaxy Note 4 Developer Edition is the same exact Note 4 the carrier is currently selling. What makes the Developer Edition unique is that it ships with an unlocked boot loader, which allows users to easily install custom ROMs onto the phone.

The Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Developer Edition features a stunning 5.7-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 and a pixel density of 515 pixels per inch (ppi). The handset is powered by a 2.7 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, Adreno 420 GPU (graphics processing unit), and has 3 GB of RAM. It's running Android 4.4.4 KitKat, includes 32 GB of internal storage, and a microSD expansion slot that will support up to 128 GB microSD cards.

The Galaxy Note 4 is packing a high-end 16-megapixel rear camera with OIS (optical image stabilization), LED flash, and a 3.7-megapixel front-facing shooter for video conferencing and selfies. The smartphone also includes a fingerprint scanner that will unlock the device and authorize PayPal purchases, in addition to enhanced S Pen functionality, built-in heart rate sensor, UV sensor, and a large 3,200 mAh removable battery.

If you're interested in purchasing the Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Developer Edition, head over to Samsung's online store where it can be yours for $699.99.
