2017 is shaping up to be the year of dual camera phones, and ZTE has just come up with its own version. The mobile company has inadvertently posted marketing images of the Blade V8 ahead of its official launch at CES 2017, an annual tradeshow of consumer electronics happening in about a week in Las Vegas.

The company website has already taken down the pictures, but not before a lot of people saw the brand new phone in all of its glory. The photos have now been widely distributed online.

The ZTE Blade V8 is being positioned as a midrange phone, with its dual camera as its main selling point. ZTE is placing the Blade V8 in direct competition with Huawei's Honor 8, which also happens to sport a dual camera as well.

What To Expect From ZTE's Blade V8

The Blade V8 is a 5.2-inch phone with a 1920x1080 display resolution screen and a 2.5D glass. It will have an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 chipset processor, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of built-in storage.

The V8 will also have an embedded fingerprint scanner on its physical home button, which is placed below the display screen. The handset will be running under Android 7.0 Nougat with a MiFlavor UI skin on top.

The phone has a brushed metal body with a matte finish. The color of the phone in the photos is gunmetal gray, but it should come in many different colors, including pink.

The Blade V8 Dual Cameras

The Blade V8 sports a 13 megapixel front-facing camera, and a 13 megapixel/2 megapixel dual sensors at the back. According to the promotional material that accompanied the now-deleted photos, the Blade V8's dual camera will allow you to "add DSLR-like bokeh effects to your photos and to shoot before focusing." The dual cameras will also allow you to shoot stereoscopic 3D photos using a virtual reality handset.

There is no information yet on whether or not the device will be made available in the US, as the Blade V7 did not have a global release and was only made available in emerging markets such as Spain, Mexico, Germany, Ethiopia, and South Africa.

The Blade V8 is looking to be a solid midrange option. And with the addition of a dual lens camera, it will surely make a splash within the midrange mobile market. ZTE will be officially revealing the phone in CES in just a matter of days, and more information should be available by then.
